Being dependable, honest and patient are some very important skills in life. Why dependable? Dependability is good because it means people can rely on you to help them in a time of need. It is important, to be honest, so you have fair friendships where you don’t lie to each other. And of course patience. It is a valuable skill because it helps you focus on important tasks that you will need to accomplish through life. But if you are not patient then you won’t be able to reach those certain goals that you have put out for yourself.
In addition, the ability to survive in the woods is an essential life skill that should be obtained. Also, the ability to properly communicate with others is important so you will be considered a well-off person and you can properly express your opinion and be able to stand up for yourself at certain times.
However, if these skills are handed to you as a birthday gift then they don’t mean much because when the time comes to actually use those skills you won’t be able to. The right way is to get those skills is through hardship. Because when you are stuck in a difficult situation and you need to use a life skill you will only be able to do it if you have done it through adversity before. Otherwise, you will just freeze up not knowing what to do.
In addition, the ability to overcome adversity is essential. Most people do not know how to overcome difficulties which is a big problem, they let hard times get the best of them. And with this, they will not be able to accomplish anything. Furthermore with this skill, you also need to be dedicated. Since you can overcome adversity and you are dedicated you can pretty much do whatever you want.
Being dedicated is important because without dedication you won't have reason to do anything and without the reasoning to do anything you will not succeed or improve at anything. Dedication is the key to success. A quote from Mark Twain “ The secret to getting ahead is getting started.” So in order to get started you need dedication and without it you will never get ahead.
