Retreats and Intensives
We offer weekend-long retreats and intensives through all seasons. The retreats and multi-day programs take place in woodland settings in Monmouth County, NJ, Emmaus, PA and Catskills, NY, among many acres of woodlands, nature trails and streams. Classes are led by experienced and certified mentors and teachers affiliated with Antinanco Earth Arts School.
Children and adults learn essential nature skills, basic sustenance needs, survival, safety, herbalism, foraging, plant identification, rites of passage, navigation, orienteering, compass practice, bush-craft, woodworking.
Our programs include play and team-building elements in the form of discussions, drumming, storytelling, meditation circles and cooperative games such as scavenger hunts and plant identification games. Our discussions focus on sustainability, climate change, biodiversity, non-conflict communication, team building and rites of passage (transition from childhood into adulthood).
